TORONTO, Dec. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Canadians who may have been left with wishes on their lists can rely on Sears Canada this Boxing Day to fulfill them.  Sears retail stores and Sears.ca are offering the best deals of the season on home electronics, major appliances, mattresses and furniture, toys, kitchen gadgets, apparel and accessories.

A special 16-page flyer was distributed to Canadian households today, highlighting the key promotions available on Boxing Day, along with weekly specials where most prices will continue until January 3 as long as there is stock.  Where stores are not open Wednesday, sale prices begin Thursday, December 27.

"Boxing Day is one of the most exciting shopping days of the entire year, and Sears has major promotions on some of the season's most wanted items," said Calvin McDonald, President and CEO, Sears Canada.  "Sears is making Boxing Day a great day, and we are extending most sales for the entire week as long as we still have stock.  Customers can start as early as 6:00 a.m. in store on Wednesday or early Christmas morning, if they want to shop from home on sears.ca."

The Price Protection Plus guarantee is offered on major items in the store.  If customers find the identical item for less anywhere else, Sears will match the price and beat it up to 90 days later for major appliances, sewing machines, vacuum cleaners, furniture and mattresses when purchased on a Sears Financial Credit Card.

As if the permanent clearance prices on family apparel and accessories were not already low enough, customers can save an additional 50% off on already reduced prices for Boxing Week if they use their Sears Financial Credit Cards.

Throughout Boxing Week, buy 3 or more selected regular priced women's activewear and save 40%, buy 2 and save 35% or buy 1 and save 25%.  Chaps, GH Bass and Arrow Brands apparel is only $24.99, for items regularly priced from $29.88 to $90.  Save 65-75% on Roots and Heys luggage and save 70% on sterling silver and crystal hoop earrings and stud sets ($19.99, regularly $69.99)

The first 50 customers in each store December 26 (or December 27 if closed on December 26) will receive a coupon for an extra 10% off on regular or sale priced furniture and sleep sets purchases on a Sears Financial Credit Card, with a minimum purchase of $800.

Most stores across Canada will open at 6:00 a.m. on December 26.  Sears encourages its customers to check with their local store prior to Christmas to confirm opening times as there are some exceptions.  Most stores open in Quebec at 1:00 p.m.
