Gibraltar Associates Adds Talent to Washington Office

Three New Team Members Bolster GA's Public Health, Food & Nutrition and Nonprofit & Association Practices

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gibraltar Associates (GA), one of the fastest-growing communications firms in the U.S., today announced three new hires in the month of September, adding talent at all levels to the firm's Washington office. Each bring unique experiences and skill sets to the GA team and will service campaigns across the firm's expanding portfolio of clients.

Caitlin Carroll joined GA this month as a vice president, supporting the firm's technology and health care clients. She is a seasoned communications strategist with experience in agency environments, on Capitol Hill and in the nonprofit world. She comes to GA from Public Strategies, Inc., where she served as a principal and provided communications counsel to one of the firm's technology clients, focusing on strategic content creation, media placement, executive positioning and strategy development. Previously, Caitlin served as communications director for Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas).

Emily Wall joined GA's Nonprofit & Association practice as a senior manager, providing communications strategy, advertising and digital content production counsel. Prior to joining GA, Emily served as a senior associate for the Pew Charitable Trusts, where she focused on advocacy advertising in support of Pew's advocacy work on environmental, health and education policy. Before joining Pew, Emily spent three years at the Glover Park Group where she worked on accounts spanning research, strategic planning, advertising and digital media. An avid photographer, she produces a local style blog called DC Here Now.

Most recently, John Edgington came aboard as an account associate, supporting the firm's Food & Nutrition and Nonprofit & Association clients. John applies his diverse skill set to client campaigns ranging from strategic communications and research to social media management and design. John, who initially joined GA as a member of the firm's summer internship program, comes to GA from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's White House Liaison Office, where he was responsible for the boards and committees nominee vetting process, as well as the daily needs of the White House liaison.
