GigaTrust Launches a Next Generation RMS Android App for Microsoft's Office 365 Cloud Service

HERNDON, Va., Sept. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- GigaTrust, the market leader in Enterprise Rights Management (ERM) content security software solutions that enhance Microsoft's basic Rights Management Services (RMS), today announced product availability of GigaTrust's new Android Smartphone solution for MS Office 365 (O365) cloud subscribers.  The GigaTrust for Android App is the first and only App available in the market that integrates the ability to view and protect Outlook emails, native Office docs and PDF in a single easy to use RMS App. Additionally, the new Android App supports both MS Azure cloud and on-premise RMS deployments in enterprises and SMBs.

The GigaTrust for Android App seamlessly allows RMS authorized users to protect and consume Outlook emails and attachments on their Android Smartphones or tablets.  With the Android App, subscribers can apply and have security permissions (or "rights") enforced down to the content level on their emails, Office docs and PDFs. This eradicates misuse of the content while in transit, at rest and in use for its entire lifecycle. These protections, either manually or automatically applied, are granular and can be configured to inhibit printing, save as, downloading to a CD or thumb drive, copy/paste and renders the forwarding of emails to non-authorized parties useless.

The new GigaTrust for Android App is available as a simple download and enables O365 subscribers and enterprise customers to view, protect, reply, and reply all for RMS protected emails and view/protect native Office docs, Adobe PDF's and PPDF format available in the MS document sharing tool. All rendering of RMS protected emails and documents are done directly on the Android Smartphone in the new GigaTrust Android App. Whether in O365 cloud or on-premise, no additional server component from GigaTrust is required.
