Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles® Joins Dove® in Helping Girls and Families Celebrate Self-Esteem

Girls Inc. Girls across the U.S. Participate in Confidence Building Activities as Part of First Nationwide Dove Self-Esteem Weekend

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --  On Saturday, October 23, Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles will join with Hollywood NOW (National Organization for Women) at the Love Your Body Day event. Families are encouraged to bring girls to participate. There will be live entertainment, vendors and a "real women" fashion show. Love Your Body Day will take place on Saturday, October 23 at West Hollywood Park Auditorium, 647 N. San Vicente Blvd., West Hollywood, CA, 90069. Admission is free.

Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles, an organization that inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, joins Girls Inc. organizations across the United States in celebrating the inaugural Dove Self-Esteem Weekend.  From October 22-24, the Dove Self-Esteem Weekend unites individuals and girls' organizations to host self-esteem building events for the girls in their lives and in their communities, recognizing that everyone has the opportunity to make a difference in a young girl's self-esteem.

With this event, Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles aims to build girls' confidence, open communication within families, and demonstrate the importance of girls having a healthy and positive sense of self. Girls Inc. after-school and outreach programs reach 1,500 girls locally, empowering them to reach their full potential and become successful, confident women.
