WYOMISSING, Pa., May 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Glen-Gery was recognized at Architectural Record's annual Advertising Excellence Awards breakfast in Orlando, Florida on Friday, April 28 as part of the 2017 AIA Convention. Each year a jury of leading architects carefully reviews and rates ads in the building and design marketplace, and the companies and agencies that produce them. Glen-Gery's ad featuring Park Chelsea (multifamily building in Washington, DC), is part of the "Build Beauty with Us" campaign, created by Ganton & Associates. The ad was presented the Best in Class award for single-page spread as well as integrated campaign.
This is the first year a brick manufacturer has received a Best in Class award. "We are honored to receive this recognition," said Tim Leese, Marketing Manager, Glen-Gery. "Our campaign goal was to emphasize the unique possibilities of building design when constructing with Glen-Gery products."
Ads qualify by advertising in the January, February, or March issues of Architectural Record and the January/February issue of SNAP. During the Awards breakfast, the panel of architects took part in a panel discussion about what appeals most to them in advertising, giving examples of what was most intriguing from this year's contestants.
