Global Energy Transformation Institute (GETI) Announces Establishment of Global Energy Transformation Association (GETA)
HOOR, Sweden, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Mats R. Larsson, founder and president of the Global Energy Transformation Institute (GETI) announced today the founding of the Global Energy Transformation Association (GETA). The association website is at www.GlobalEnergyTransformation.com.
Global Energy Transformation differs from the other approaches to energy in that it involves large-scale, planned projects in combination with market-driven change. In order to maintain and develop the competitiveness of modern economies in the face of resource constraints, governments, companies, and individuals need to participate in coordinated efforts to reduce the dependence on oil and develop and implement technologies based on renewable fuels on a large scale. Large scale transformation programs need to be based on national strategies for energy systems transformation, that prioritize the technologies and efforts that will bring the biggest possible volume of new energy in the most cost effective way. The key challenge for our society is that all developed countries are dependent on oil in order to run the transportation and production systems of the global economy. The decisions we make about transformation in the transportation sector will impact other energy related sectors as well. Because of this, and because of the complexity and magnitude of the challenge we need to base efforts on well crafted national strategies.
The association is open to individuals, corporations and organizations in the energy industry worldwide and individuals and organizations interested in global energy management issues. GETA benefits can include ongoing direct intelligence from Mr. Larsson on energy and sustainability issues not currently discussed in other forums, copies of his two books: "Global Energy Transformation: Four Necessary Steps to Make Clean Energy the Next Success Story" and "Overcoming Overuse: Energy Transformation for a World Gone Fad," access to other energy industry members, sponsor recognition on videos and podcasts, a directory profile in all association online materials, guest editorials and other industry intelligence and exposure.
The Global Energy Transformation Institute (GETI), founded in 2007, identifies challenges and solutions with large-scale energy transformation. GETI's specific mission is to raise awareness about the need for change management in energy related sectors of the economy, present global energy management solutions and execute them as part of large scale energy transformation programs. The Institute and the Association have offices in Hoor, Sweden and Washington, DC. GETInstitute.com
