MIAMI, Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For the seventh consecutive year in a row, the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) celebrated the "VII Annual GFDD Golf Tournament" on October 23rd at the Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura, Florida.
The event, which more than 70 players attended, was created to foster social, economic, democratic and cultural advancement in the Dominican Republic. In attendance were Former Miami Mayor, Manny Diaz; Baseball Hall of Fame, Juan Marichal; GFDD Executive Director, Natasha Despotovic and Former President of the Dominican Republic, Dr. Leonel Fernández. Following the tournament, a banquet and award ceremony were held for the players in which GFDD's Tournament Director, Ricardo Jacobo, thanked all participants for helping make this tournament exceed revenue expectations.
The VII Annual Golf Tournament GFDD 2015 has been created with the purpose of contributing to the programs that the organization currently has. It has been made possible through the efforts of the GFDD staff and sponsors such as 3AWORLDWIDE, Brilliance Realty Group, Ron Barcelo, Miami Club Rum, Cabral Mena and CieloRD.
