Global Inheritance Brings a Variety of Innovative Sustainability Initiatives to Coachella 2011.

LOS ANGELES, March 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Inheritance will for the eighth year in a row bring its style of interactive and entertaining sustainability programming to the Coachella Music & Arts Festival, continuing a partnership that started in 2004. This year, Global Inheritance is returning with CARPOOLCHELLA, the 10 for 1 Bottle Exchange Centers, TRASHed :: Art of Recycling, and the Energy FACTory DJ Mixer.

Global Inheritance is currently looking for artists and DJs to participate in the TRASHed and Energy FACTory programs.

For TRASHed :: Art of Recycling, Global Inheritance is recruiting artists to redesign recycling bins for the festival. Chosen artists have the chance to win VIP tickets and/or Coachella gifts bags and have their work seen by tens of thousands of festivalgoers. All (50) recycling bins will be donated to schools in Southern California after the festival. Artists should email examples and ideas to [email protected] for consideration. Interested schools looking to win the TRASHed Coachella recycling bin collection need to email [email protected].

The Energy FACTory DJ Mixer gives DJs a chance to perform at Coachella – with a little help from their friends. Each DJ must recruit 20+ people, who will run in hamster wheels, ride energy swings, turn hand cranks, pedal bikes and rock the energy see-saw, to power each 40 minute set. Interested DJs should send their sample tracks (under 2 mb) to [email protected].

Finalists for both TRASHed and Energy FACTory will be announced on March 15th, 2011.
