Global Maximum Educational Opportunities, Inc. (g-MEO) Announces Internship Opportunities for Students Attending The Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad
NEW YORK, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Maximum Educational Opportunities, Inc. (g-MEO), an emerging growth company in international education and an innovator of study abroad programs in China, announced today that it has signed a cooperative agreement with the Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) to provide internship opportunities for students attending g-MEO's Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad. The agreement was signed by Prof. Liangtian Xia, Dean of the Graduate School of SASS, and Dr. David Chang, g-MEO's Board Chairman, during a recent ceremony in Chengdu, Capital of Sichuan Province in Southwestern China. The agreement provides a framework for the two parties to cooperate in multiple fields such as academic research, culture and scientific studies, in order to provide students enrolled at the Center rich and varied internship opportunities in areas such as Economics, Sociology, Management, Philosophy and Science.
"This is the first time since SASS was founded that we've signed this kind of agreement, receiving foreign students to do internships in our school, which indicates we have turned a new page and stepped onto a brand new stage in the further opening up of the Academy," said Prof. Xia, who also expressed his confidence in the success of the cooperation with g-MEO.
Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences is a key research institute in social sciences. Sponsored by the Sichuan Provincial Government, SASS is the leading institute in the fields of philosophy and social sciences in the province. The institute has developed and maintained academic exchange relationships with schools and research institutions in over ten countries, including the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany and Japan.

Located in the historical Huaxi campus of the renowned Sichuan University, the Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad, thanks to its innovative nature, also receives strong support from the Chengdu Municipal Government. Through cooperative relationships between American and Chinese universities, students at the Center will take courses in English offered by American university partners, as well as Chinese language instruction and China Studies courses offered by Sichuan University, with credits fully transferrable back to their home institutions.
