Formed in 2005, the AALA is a community-based fellowship program offering training and development to aspiring professionals who demonstrate potential for top leadership in their careers and in the community. Fellows must be nominated in order to apply for the program and the AALA Advisory Board members make the final selection. Each group has 12 fellows who meet monthly for 9 months of the year. The program has 75 graduates and its seventh group is underway for this year.
As part of the fellowship program, Audra Bohannon, Vice President – Diversity and Inclusion, Global Novations, leads an efficacy-based training program called "Efficacy for Professionals of Color," a development program focused on increasing confidence and competence in the political, relational, and influential arenas needed to navigate one's organization and career and to maximize engagement and performance.
"After a single training session, Audra Bohannon's facilitation capabilities and content were so highly regarded by the fellows that we infused it into our overall program. Over the past 3 years, the feedback on Audra's sessions has been consistently positive and we look forward to a continued partnership with Audra and Global Novations," said Bo Chilton, AALA Program Coordinator.
"Global Novations is excited to partner with an organization like the AALA who shares our vision and dedication to the development and advancement of diverse leaders," said Audra Bohannon, Vice President – Diversity and Inclusion, Global Novations.
