According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Dr. Reid was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at the Hyatt Regency in Cincinnati on June 30, 2011.

Dr. Reid was a founding partner of Global Lead Management Consultants in Cincinnati, Ohio, which later merged with Boston-based Novations Group to form Global Novations. She is a member of several professional associations and serves as a Trustee/Board Member for many institutions in the greater Cincinnati community.
