Global Solicitation for Proposals For Sichuan Tianfu New Area Logo Design

CHENGDU, China, Jan. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The global solicitation for the logo and promotion planning proposals of Sichuan Tianfu New Area was officially initiated by the Office of Sichuan Tianfu New Area Administration Committee on January 25, 2016. Apart from delivering cultural references and displaying international modernization, the proposals shall conform to the strategic orientation of Sichuan Tianfu New Area, "The pole of Western economy and high ground of technolgy innovation; an international modern area primarily devoted to manufacturing industry and high-end service industry; a city eligible for business and habitation." Each winner of the selected logo design and proposal will receive an award of RMB30,000 respectively.

As the 11th New Area at the national level, Sichuan Tianfu New Area was officially approved for establishment on October 2, 2014. Located in the southeast urban area of Chengdu, the planned scope is 1578 square kilometers covering 37 townships (towns, streets) of 7 counties (cities, districts) in Chengdu, Meishan and Ziyang.

Different from a traditional economic and technological development zone, Sichuan Tianfu New Area, as a national-level new area, will protect and improve its natural resources and environment, comprehensively optimizing the artificial environment and cultural references and build an urban area integrating international modernization with unique local features, so as to develop into an "Modern Ecological Garden City."

There will be 9 districts with different styles and features, including the core urban hill and water district, technological and cultural district, high-tech industry district, strategic new industry district, distinguishing competitive industry district, high-end manufacturing district, 2-lake and 1-hill landscape districts, modernized garden district and an ecological recreation district.

The five core functions of the Sichuan Tianfu New Area

The Five Core Functions for Sichuan Tianfu New Area include Experimental district of

• comprehensive innovative reform;
• high-end industry cluster district;
• opening economic high land of inland cities;
• livable city eligible for business and industry;
• demonstration district of overall planning for urban and rural integration.

All work will continue to grow and expand the Tianfu New Area. The Sichuan Provincial Committee of CPC and Sichuan Provincial Government issued guidance for speeding up the construction of the Sichuan Tianfu New Area.

The award of RMB30,000 and the detailed specifications for the logo design

To highlight the regional feature of the Tianfu New Area, promote the popularity and influence, build up the brand image and drive the growth and development, the Office of Sichuan Tianfu New Area Administration Committee published and officially initiated "the global solicitation for the logo and promotion planning proposals of Sichuan Tianfu New Area" on the official social media accounts of Sichuan Tianfu New Area on January 25, 2016.

This global solicitation is for the design of the logo for the Sichuan Tianfu New Area, and Proposal for Promotion Planning of Sichuan Tianfu New Area. The Logo Design of Sichuan Tianfu New Area includes logo rendering, name and design explanation; the Proposal for Promotion Planning of Sichuan Tianfu New Area shall be mainly of text content in WORD and PPT format. RMB30,000 will be awarded respectively to one final winner of the logo design winner and one final winner of promotion planning proposal; RMB 2,000 will be awarded respectively to the other four finalists of the logo design and the other four finalists of promotion planning proposals preliminarily selected.

This activity is for the submission from individuals and entities all over the world. The bidding submission of the Sichuan Tianfu New Area logo shall be based on the regional and culture features of Sichuan Tianfu New Area with a distinct theme, novel creativity, a simple outline and profound message, with a high-level visual impact. It should also be unique, something that is easily remembered and used in promotions.

There are four basic standards to follow:

1. the visual symbol representing Sichuan cultural characteristics;
2. a brand image for the global market;
3. impressing and implying the general orientation, development goal and strategic image of Sichuan Tianfu New Area;
4. considering the practical application and extension of the logo in streets and flags and advertisements, etc.

The promotion planning proposal of Sichuan Tianfu New Area shall be used for both on and offline purposes.

This global solicitation for Logo Design of Sichuan Tianfu New Area include four stages:

1. public solicitation from January 25, 2016 to March 25, 2016;
2. preliminary evaluation by an expert board from March 26, 2016 to April 10, 2016 for selecting 5 pieces of works;
3. from April 11, 2016 to April 24, 2016, the 5 pieces of works are published on the official media for public voting;
4. from April 25, 2016 to April 30, 2016, Sichuan Tianfu New Area Administration Committee will select one Logo design of Sichuan Tianfu New Area based on the expert evaluation, comments and the Internet voting results, and will publish the logo.

The global solicitation for the promotion planning proposals of Sichuan Tianfu New Area include three stages:

1. public solicitation from January 25, 2016 to April 10, 2016;
2. preliminary evaluation by an expert board from April 10, 2016 to April 24, 2016 for selecting proposals; and final selection of one promotion planning proposal by Sichuan Tianfu New Area Administration Committee based on the expert evaluation and comments;
3. from April 25, 2016 to April 30, 2016, the organization committee will publishe the name of the winner for the selected promotion planning proposal.
