Glowpoint Experiences Continued Growth in Global Managed Services

MURRAY HILL, N.J., Jan. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Glowpoint, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: GLOW), a provider of cloud-based managed services for telepresence, video conferencing and collaboration, today announced that its managed services is continuing to experience high demand and it has been selected to support the telepresence and video conferencing environments for two high-profile global enterprises.

The contracts were secured through a strategic relationship with one of Glowpoint's global equipment manufacturer partners. Glowpoint revenues for these new agreements are estimated to be more than $2 million over the 3 year initial contract periods, which call for nearly 200 rooms to be supported throughout the world in 36 countries, including sites in North American, EMEA, CALA, and APAC. Information on the companies may not be disclosed currently due to contractual confidentiality obligations, though additional details will be presented in upcoming announcements and case studies in the near future.

As part of the agreement, Glowpoint's VNOC managed services are being delivered and include comprehensive room certification, proactive monitoring of all room components, 24/7 proactive and on-demand help desk support, calendar and room resource management, automated call scheduling and launching, complete conference production, and comprehensive reporting for room utilization and overall performance.

Glowpoint currently provides a full suite of VNOC managed services to more than 890 telepresence / video rooms throughout the globe and produced more than 70,000 conferences during 2010. Glowpoint's managed services are now supporting customers with locations in more than 53 countries around the world.

Glowpoint's strong position in the managed services industry was highlighted in a recent Frost & Sullivan report that identified it as a leading service provider focused on a fast growing market for video conferencing services. Frost & Sullivan expects that the total market for video conferencing systems and services will exceed $4 billion by 2013.
