NEW YORK and MURRAY HILL, N.J., Sept. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Glowpoint, Inc. (OTCBB: GLOW), a leading global provider of cloud managed video services, and TalkPoint, the leader in global communications technology, specializing in browser-based audio and video webcasting, today announced that they will partner to deliver a live video webcasting demonstration on September 21, 2011, featuring experts from the legal industry.
The one-hour event, which will take place from 1:00–2:00 p.m. EDT, will include Glowpoint's legal counsel, a business partner from the legal industry and participants from Glowpoint and TalkPoint.
"Our customers in the legal industry continue to use video webcasting and video conferencing technologies to improve their level of service and reduce operating costs," said Darren Podrabsky, Vice President of Marketing and Channels for Glowpoint. "This is just one specific example of how Glowpoint's cloud managed video services help customers realize the full value of visual communications, and our partnership with TalkPoint is critical to delivering on that value proposition."
Speaker presentations will be broadcast live from the various Glowpoint locations, and remote guests will be able to participate on desktops, laptops, iPads and iPhones.
"TalkPoint is happy to extend its partnership with Glowpoint by showcasing the benefits of live video webcasting to the legal community," said Nick Balletta, CEO of TalkPoint. "In providing the webcasting technology for another Glowpoint event, we are aligned with an informative presentation that demonstrates how webcasting can help the legal industry advance its business."
In June of 2011, Glowpoint and TalkPoint held a successful live video webcasting demonstration focusing on the overall benefits of webcasting and video conferencing technologies.
"The most recent Glowpoint webcast event, outside of being run very professionally, demonstrated just how far visual collaboration has come," said Frank Picarello, Chief Executive Officer at Cadence Management Advisors. "Glowpoint has developed a very robust set of integrated technologies to allow businesses to handle dynamic meetings that are visually intensive. Gone are the days of limiting and complex video conferencing, replaced by dynamic telepresence and document sharing. The experience is second to none. Put this on top of Glowpoint's industry leadership and the future is very bright."
