GM President Headlines American Society of Employers Annual Summit

LIVONIA, Mich., Oct. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Society of Employers (ASE), one of the nation's oldest and largest employer associations, will host its Eleventh Annual Summit on Wednesday, November 5th at the Detroit Athletic Club, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Dan Ammann, President of General Motors will provide the keynote address for the event. Mr. Ammann has responsibility for managing the company's regional operations around the world, the global Chevrolet and Cadillac brand organizations, global product planning, global connected consumer/OnStar, and GM Financial.

Another highlight of the evening will be the presentation of ASE's Michigan Human Resource Executive of the Year awards, which recognize meritorious work by executives in the field of Human Resources Management, and distinguishes those who represent the best in their profession.

ASE will honor the following as HR Executives of the Year:

• John J. Quattrone, Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources, General Motors (Organizations with over 1,000 Michigan employees)
• Gale L. LaRoche, Vice President, Human Resources and Administration, Wayne County Airport Authority (Organizations with fewer than 1,000 Michigan employees)
• Barbara A. Palmer, Corporate Vice President of Human Resources and Employee Services, Botsford Hospital (Health and Human Services organizations with 500 or more Michigan employees)
• Teresa Schwartz, Vice President of Human Resources, JVS (Health and Human Services organizations with fewer than 500 Michigan employees)

Opening remarks will be made by Mary E. Corrado, President and CEO of ASE.
