"We have had the pleasure of providing our engineering and design services to improve the ALLY chair and bring improved accessibility to the revolutionary Segway kit," said Andrew Goddard, CEO and Owner of Goddard. "This donation represents our efforts to utilize our skills and expertise to support this vital cause, mobilizing America's heroes."
"Goddard Technologies has proved to be instrumental in developing the usability and core function of the ALLY chair. The engineering and design updates that Goddard has made will bring a new level of accessibility to our disabled Warriors," said Jerry Kerr, President of Draft/Segs4Vets.
In March 2015, ALLY Chair Company engaged Goddard to assist in the design and engineering of a series of modifications for their chair, and to support prototype production of each modification. Improvements to the chair include modified kick-stand legs for extension and self-leveling, relocation of the route charging outlet to the front, and steering gear redesign to improve ease of use and range of motion. Goddard has focused their efforts to improve key functional and accessibility features of the kit.
