Godfather Media Announces the Appointment of AWBL Chief of Umpires

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., May 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Godfather Media, Inc. (OTC: GFMD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel J. Perugini, Jr. to the American West Baseball League as Chief of Umpires. Mr. Perugini brings with him over 30 years of experience in College and Professional Minor League Baseball umpiring.

Dan received his Law Degree from the University of West Los Angeles-College of Law in 1980.  He has been employed in the Legal profession for over 30 years working on the defense side for various Insurance Companies but found a home with his current firm.  He also attended the University of Dayton, located in Dayton, Ohio where he received his BA in Pre-Law.  While at the U. of Dayton, Dan played Rugby for four years and was an active member of his Fraternity Delta Tau Nu, holding several key positions within the frat. Prior to starting in Workers Compensation Law, Dan represented several Minor League baseball players as their Player Agent negotiating contracts and other assorted duties.

Dan also attended the Harry Wendlestat School for Umpires, "just a lifelong dream to want to be a part of baseball in some capacity." He is currently a Division 1 NCAA Umpire and has worked numerous conferences championship series, Regional competition for NCAA World Series play.  Dan also wanted to see Alaska and was picked to Umpire in the prestigious Alaska League for two (2) seasons, being named Umpire of the year in 1984.  His active participation in College Baseball had him hold several key positions in his Umpire group serving as President of SCCUBA for 2 terms. 

He has also been very active in training of Collegiate and Independent Umpires through his ownership of two different Umpire Schools (WeSUC, LLC and MIB Umpire Camps).  He has been very active in Independent Baseball since 1995 when the Western Baseball League started play.  He supervised the Umpires for 3 years and worked for the entire existence of the league being called on several times to work the championship series.  He was instrumental in formulating the Golden Baseball League Umpire program in 2005 and served as Sup. Of Umpires and Compliance Officer on two separate occasions for 5 years. During this time he also was a Board Member of the Crescenta Valley Babe Ruth Program for 3 years and ran a successful travel team as Manager, Business Manager, travel Coordinator for 7 years.
