A new tech start-up has announced the release of their "GoGetter" app, a simple and straight-forward mobile app that ditches the traditional, established job search process by helping millennials and those in the skilled trades highlight their experience and directly connect with prospective employers. 

A 2014 employment sector report by USA Today has noted that by 2017 an estimated 2.5 million new, middle-skill jobs are expected to be added to the workforce accounting for nearly 40 percent of all job growth. Nearly 600 occupations are expected to see a 5 percent or more growth in jobs across all skill levels in the 125 largest metro areas of the country. From construction and electronics to technology related fields and health care, skilled labor jobs are expected to be the primary driver for this overall growth.

As the USA Today report noted, one of the biggest challenges has been connecting skilled labor with prospective employers. The research is showing that there are real reasons why employers struggle to find qualified skilled workers. In turn, many candidates in the skilled trades don't know what markets or businesses are seeking employees with their specific skill sets.
