GoKart Labs Launches Social App to Help Families Manage Connections That Matter Most
New "Kinly" App Lets Users Keep Track of Family Activities, Stay Connected and Share Information via Private Micro-Network
MINNEAPOLIS, July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GoKart Labs, a Minneapolis-based digital innovation lab, recently introduced Kinly, the app to keep families connected in a completely private platform. Kinly is now available for iOS users in the App Store.
"We saw a need for an app that lets people connect with their family members, instead of being overwhelmed with information from a public social network," said Matt Johnson, creative and strategy director at GoKart Labs. "Kinly lets families share photos, location and status updates only with their kin. It's very private, practical and fun."
Kinly combines some of the traditional social network features including photo albums and status updates, along with components that are better suited for a private forum. Personal locations are tracked with the check-in map, parents can record their kids' allergies, wish lists and medications. And parents and kids can share in day-to-day activities to stay more closely connected.
Kinly is available in the app store free of charge for the summer. Starting in September, the app will cost $1.99.
