Golden Predator Intercepts 28 m of 5.06 g/t Gold at Brewery Creek's Bohemian Discovery Zone
TSX: GPD
VANCOUVER, April 7 /PRNewswire/ - Golden Predator Corp. (TSX: GPD) (the "Company") is pleased to announce results from ten additional core holes from its winter 2011 drill program at its Brewery Creek Project, Yukon. All ten of these holes, which are in the Bohemian Zone discovered late last year, intersected significant mineralization with best results of 28.0 m of 5.06 g/t gold beginning at a depth of 46.0 m in hole BC11-183, including 13.5 m of 8.78 g/t beginning at a depth of 53.5 m.
"These consistent results, with increasingly high grades, are extremely promising for the rapid development of the Brewery Creek project beyond the exploration phase." said Chairman & CEO William M. Sheriff. "With all 15 of the holes from our winter drill program received to date providing exceptional results, we look forward to the continued expansion of the open ended Bohemian Zone.
Brewery Creek
Core drilling at Brewery Creek this winter delineated a strongly mineralized steeply dipping, structural corridor that traverses the Bohemian Zone. The east-west corridor intersects a lower angle tabular mineralized zone in intrusive rocks; both remain open along strike. The steeply dipping structural zone lies approximately 500 m east of the Lucky deposit, the nearest past producing deposit, and is an extension of the 12 km Reserve Trend that traverses the Brewery Creek district. Results from the final holes drilled in the current program are pending.
The Brewery Creek Property is located 55 km due east of Dawson City, Yukon and comprises 793 quartz claims over 165 km(2). Brewery Creek was the site of a heap-leach gold mine which operated from 1996-2002 and produced 279,541 ounces of gold. Current resources remaining on the Property include an Indicated Resource of 3.98 MM tonnes grading 1.135 g/t gold and an Inferred Resource of 2.2 MM tonnes averaging 2.01 g/t gold (Diment and Simpson, 2009). The Brewery Creek Project is authorized under a Type A Water License and a production license with expiry dates of December 31, 2021.
