Golf course, Jackson event venue and apartment complex among properties offered at auction June 12

JACKSON, Miss., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- An 18-hole golf course with pro shop, ballroom and grill will be among properties selling at auction Thursday, June 12, with Head Auctions & Realty marketing the property and managing the sale.

The golf course, currently operating as Brookwood Country Club, is selling as a single 160-acre parcel, which includes the course, club house, pro shop and all other facilities.

"This course has evolved in recent years into a public course. It still has some members, though most of its business consists of golfers who pay by the round," said William Head, president of the auction company. "The course has been well maintained, and it has excellent facilities that have hosted many meetings, wedding receptions and corporate events."

Also selling on June 12 is The Castle of Raymond, a property best known as one of the Jackson area's most unique venues for weddings, reunions, church gatherings and occasions, according to Head.
