Gospel Music Star and TV Host, "Lexi," Set to Help Kick off Eagan Orthodontics' "Smiling In Metro Detroit" Campaign at Annual Summerfest Celebration

DETROIT, Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lexi, gospel singer and host of The Word Network's hit TV show, "The Lexi Show," will appear as the special guest for Eagan Orthodontics' annual Summerfest celebration.  Lexi, a Stellar Awards nominee with a powerful and breathtaking voice, is set to perform songs from her bestselling album "What Heaven Hears." Summerfest: Patient and Community Appreciation Day will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2011, noon – 5:00 p.m. at God's Graceland Park, located on the grounds of Greater Grace Temple, 23500 W. Seven Mile Road in Detroit.

Also at this year's Summerfest, which is free and open to the general public, Dr. J. Victor and Catherine Eagan, owners of Eagan Orthodontics, will share with attendees the process to apply to receive 56 free sets of braces.  The braces are being donated to local charities and organizations, such as The Ndamukong Suh Family Foundation, DAPCEP, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Summerfest, which attracts several hundred people and has included guests such as Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh and football Hall of Fame star Reggie McKenzie, includes great food, games, cash and gift prizes, and many family activities.  Guests will enjoy a rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, Thomas the Train, popcorn and snow cone machines, karaoke, a chance to take pictures with special guest Lexi, and much more.

The annual Summerfest celebration is just one way in which the Eagan Orthodontics staff and family show their appreciation to metro Detroit for supporting Eagan Orthodontics.  It is a special day that gives them a chance to enjoy, have fun, and talk with the people they care about and serve.

During a brief program, scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m., Dr. and Mrs. Eagan will take time to acknowledge several charities for their hard work and contributions to metro Detroit.  Several of them will be in attendance, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Orchards Children's Services, Alternatives for Girls, The Ndamukong Suh Family Foundation, WGPR 107.5 FM Radio, Second Ebenezer Church, Word of Faith International Christian Center, and Perfecting Church.
