Got Electric Opens Coeburn, Virginia Office to Expand Regional Commercial Electrical Infrastructure Support
New Southwest Virginia hub strengthens service capabilities across Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina
IJAMSVILLE, Md., Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Got Electric LLC has opened a new regional office in Coeburn, Virginia, expanding its commercial electrical construction capabilities and strengthening its ability to serve customers throughout Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
Opened in September 2026, the office provides a central base for Got Electric employees already working throughout Southwest Virginia. Its location will help the company coordinate regional projects more efficiently, reduce travel demands, and respond more quickly when customers require service for critical electrical and energy-generation equipment.
"We chose Coeburn because the region offers the combination of technical talent, energy -sector experience and access to growing commercial markets that Got Electric needs for its next stage," said Andy Hershberger, Director of Virginia Operations for Got Electric. "This office gives us a foundation to deepen relationships with customers, industry partners and skilled tradespeople as the region's energy infrastructure continues to evolve."
Got Electric's investment in Coeburn builds upon its existing work in Southwest Virginia. The company recently supported the construction of a commercial solar installation at Mountain Empire Community College developed by Secure Solar Futures. The project included more than 1,600 solar modules and was designed to produce more than 1 million kilowatt-hours annually while offsetting approximately one-third of the campus's energy consumption.
The Mountain Empire project also connected classroom education with paid, hands-on field experience. Students participated in structured coursework and active solar installation work, gaining exposure to commercial jobsite conditions, safety procedures and team coordination while earning wages.
That experience reflects a broader opportunity for Southwest Virginia. The region has a long history of supporting America's energy economy and a workforce shaped by generations of technical trade experience. As commercial solar, battery storage and other electrical infrastructure continue to expand, many of those foundational skills remain essential to constructing, servicing and maintaining increasingly complex energy systems.
The Coeburn office will primarily support commercial electrical construction while strengthening Got Electric's ability to assist customers whose operations depend on reliable energy infrastructure. Its regional presence positions the company to support projects from construction through long-term service while continuing to build relationships with customers, educational institutions, and skilled workers throughout the area.
Through the Coeburn expansion, Got Electric is establishing the operational foundation needed to serve a growing regional market while remaining close to the people, projects and partnerships driving Southwest Virginia's energy future.
