Granite Broadcasting Corporation Appoints Kemp Nichol to President and General Manager of KOFY-TV

NEW YORK, Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Granite Broadcasting Corporation today announced the appointment of Kemp Nichol as President and General Manager of KOFY-TV, its independent station serving the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose television market, the 6th largest television market in the United States.

Mr. Nichol is a broadcasting veteran having begun his career in the broadcasting industry in 1984 at a sign-on independent station shortly after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  Prior to joining Granite he has held general management and sales management positions with Petracom Broadcasting, Quourm Broadcasting and Nexstar Broadcasting.
