Grapes for Humanity, US Welcomes Word Renowned Wine Producer Marchese Piero Antinori to Sarasota
SARASOTA, Fla., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- For nearly a decade, Grapes for Humanity, US has brought internationally renowned wine producers to Sarasota for wine tastings and events in support of its humanitarian projects across the globe.
On February 1st and 2nd, 2010, Grapes for Humanity, US has the distinct pleasure of welcoming world renowned wine producer Marchese Piero Antinori to Sarasota to host two days of fine wine and food. On the evening of February 1st, guests are invited to attend a gala dinner welcoming Antinori at Michael's on East to taste many of Antinori's generously donated top vintages. On Tuesday, February 2nd, a golf outing and wine tasting will be held at The Concession Golf Club, rated "best new private course of the year" by Golf Digest.
Grapes for Humanity, US is an internationally recognized charitable foundation that has raised millions of dollars in support of landmine survivors and innocent victims of conflict and disease around the world. Chairman Arlene Willis founded Grapes for Humanity, US in memory of her brother Louis J. Cofrancesco who was killed by a landmine while serving in the Vietnam War.
Monies raised at the Antinori events will go towards The Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota, Oak Park School for disabled children, Lavalla School and Orphanage in Cambodia and given the recent tragedy in Haiti, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Grapes for Humanity/US Haiti Relief Effort.
