LAS VEGAS, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- New America Energy Corp. (OTC: NECA "New America Energy Corp" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the first stage of its Geophysical exploration on the Company's Clayton Ridge Lithium brine project in Clayton Valley, Nevada, will commence on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.
GRAVITY SURVEY DETAILS
The first phase of geophysical exploration on the Clayton Ridge property is designed to more fully delineate the gravity low which was identified by a reconnaissance survey conducted earlier this year by Hasbrouck Geophysics. The gravity low is indicative of the potential for evaporate and brine deposits.
The gravity stations will be surveyed at locations as specified by Hasbrouck Geophysics. The total program is expected to cover approximately 100 to 125 stations. The project, including mobilization-demobilization, should take approximately 10 days for field completion and another 30 days for the interpretation and final report.
If results from the gravity surveys are deemed successful, it is expected that a controlled source audio magnetotellurics /magentotellurics (CAMT/MT) method would be recommended as the next step to define brine filled layers and bedrock within the basin.
The CR claims are well situated near the Clayton Valley playa, which is on the Clayton Ridge Trough's southern expansion, of around 5 mi to the southeastern part of the Chemetall Foote deposit. Many gravity geophysical surveys have outlined the Clayton Ridge Trough that has been considered being an important medium for the lithium brines, having percolated from the Montezuma Peak rhyolitic tuffs and the Alkali Hot Spring waters.
