Greek Pop Music Star Yianna Makes US Debut With "Love Is Your Name"

NEW YORK, July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- With a string of hit singles, nominations and awards to her credit, Greek former Universal Music pop sensation, singer-songwriter Yianna Terzis, is finally realizing her childhood dream: launching her music career in the US, where she relocated four years ago. Her first official English single, Love Is Your Name, made its US debut on iTunes on July 16th.

Yianna, as she is now simply known, is no stranger to fame. In the Greek diaspora, her father Paschalis Terzis could be compared to Frank Sinatra. Although the association obviously had its perks, Yianna was determined to make it on her own merit. She released her debut Greek language album, Gyrna to Kleidi (translation: Turn the Key) in 2006 on Universal. Yianna's first single, Pou kai Pou (translation: Now and Then), dominated the charts for months and became one of the most popular ringtones ever, causing her to be in high demand across Greece and neighboring countries.

Since arriving in the US she has recorded alongside award-winning industry notables such as Nate Walka, Bei Maejor, The Jugganauts and Fuego, all the while getting closer to her dream of releasing a global pop music project. With the debut of Love Is Your Name, she is just that much closer.
