
Green Industry Certification Graduation to be Rescheduled
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Green Industry Certification Graduation to be held at Prince George's Community College, Friday, February 12th, will be rescheduled.
The Green Industry Certification Program (GICP), the only program of this type in the county, is a collaborative green workforce initiative between United Communities Against Poverty (UCAP), US Green Building Council, and Prince George's County Community College. Training includes six (6) weeks of pre-apprenticeship training, 30-hour OSHA, CPR, First Aid, Weatherization, and LEEDs. Levels I and II certifications were conducted at the Joint Carpentry Apprenticeship Council (Joint School of Carpentry).
