ST. PAUL, Minn., April 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, local ice cream lovers will help Green's Ice Cream pick a new flavor to add to its premium ice cream lineup. To celebrate the company's upcoming centennial anniversary, Green's is kicking off an official ice cream flavor naming contest this month. Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania residents are invited to find information about the contest and a mail-in entry form inserted into their local papers on Sunday, April 17 and Sunday, May 8.
"Ever since my grandfather started delivering fresh dairy products almost 100 years ago, our family has been committed to providing high-quality products to consumers," said Jim Green, president and CEO of Kemps. "Through our first-ever flavor naming contest, I'm confident Green's ice cream fans will come up with a new, delicious concoction that would make my grandfather proud."
Postmarked entries for Green's ice cream naming contest will be accepted from April 17 - August 31, 2011. Submissions must include an original flavor name and three key ingredients. The contest is open to adults, at least 18 years old, who reside in Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania. The winner will receive free ice cream for a year and the winning flavor will be produced by Green's and hit freezer aisles next year.
Since 1913, Green's has been distributing the highest quality dairy products in the Northeast Region, with primary distribution in Pennsylvania. www.greensicecream.com
