Sep 14, 2011, 08:00 ET from Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc.

CARROLLTON, Ga., Sept. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. and the Physician Services technology division of Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS) today announced an agreement for INHS to provide Greenway's integrated electronic health record (EHR) and practice management solution PrimeSUITE® 2011 to hospital systems and ambulatory practices requiring advanced care coordination and network interoperability.

Established more than a decade ago, INHS currently serves and connects 38 hospitals and more than 4,000 physicians on an integrated health information network. And as one of 17 nationally- designated Beacon communities by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), the INHS Health Information Exchange (HIE) is integral to the future successes of fully integrated health IT workflows.

With Greenway®, INHS will coordinate licensing, training, implementation, hosting and ongoing support services of PrimeSUITE to hospitals and practices to establish communities of health focused on sustainable patient care and quality reporting initiatives such as meaningful use and accountable care.

"INHS has always anticipated and understood the type of best practices the establishment of a national health information network demands to provide technologies that will advance and integrate clinical, financial and administrative workflows," said Greenway President and CEO Tee Green. "We have shared the same goals as our operations have grown independently, we have worked together on specific projects and I am excited and confident about what we can accomplish in patient care."

In February, two INHS-network supported hospital systems in Washington state selected PrimeSUITE to advance care coordination, pursue the achievement of meaningful use incentives throughout clinic networks and establish interoperability systems.

"Recent research shows that investing in electronic health records leads to significantly higher standards of care and improved patient outcomes," said Tom Fritz, chief executive officer of Inland Northwest Health Services. "This new relationship with Greenway builds on INHS' suite of hospital and physician solution offerings, helping simplify and speed the adoption of EHRs and ultimately providing opportunities for better patient outcomes."
