GrowLife to Support Game Changing New Federal Bill Allowing States to Set Marijuana Law

(OTCQB: PHOT), a provider of highly effective indoor growing technologies and unique lifestyle brands, is pleased to announce its enthusiastic support for House Bill 1523, the "Respect State Marijuana Laws Act of 2013." Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) and a bi-partisan group of U.S. representatives have introduced legislation that could end the enforcement of federal marijuana laws in states that have either legalized it or adopted medical marijuana laws. Passage of the bill would protect 18 medical marijuana states and the first two legalization states, Colorado and Washington, from being undermined by federal enforcement of the Controlled Substances Act as it pertains to marijuana law.

Congressman Rohrabacher was clear in his goals and intentions in remarks after the bill's introduction Friday. "This bipartisan bill represents a common-sense approach that establishes federal government respect for all states' marijuana laws," stated Rohrabacher. "It does so by keeping the federal government out of the business of criminalizing marijuana activities in states that don't want it to be criminal."

Last week, the respected Pew Research firm declared that for the first time, the majority of the American population supports marijuana use, stating a 52% approval rate. Support is higher among those born after 1960, indicating a trend in favor of usage. Just 42% supported marijuana use in a 2010 Pew poll. Interestingly, the Pew report may have foreshadowed Rohrabacher's bipartisan bill, stating that nearly 60% of politicos on both sides of the aisle say the federal government should not enforce federal laws prohibiting marijuana use in states where the drug is now legal.
