Growth and Promotions Characterize Hub International's San Francisco Commercial Risk Division as Gay Catherine Chung and Arturo Perez-Reyes Assume the Roles of Senior Vice President for the Global Insurance Broker

SAN FRANCISCO, April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hub International Insurance Services, Inc. (Hub), a leading international insurance brokerage, formally announced today two promotions in the company's San Francisco Commercial Risk Division. Gay Catherine Chung has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President and Client Director for the commercial risk division based in San Francisco, California.  In addition to her Client Director role, Ms. Chung will continue to execute certain account management oversight responsibilities as well as participate in periodic client interface in a risk management consultative role.

Arturo Perez-Reyes has likewise been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President and cyber-group leader of the Executive Liability practices endeavor formed by Hub in 2014. The Executive Liability practices team is one of Hub's most specialized risk discipline groups focusing exclusively on the risks inherent in the professional liability marketplace and, more recently, the threats relating to cyber attacks upon companies managing proprietary customer data.  

Prior to joining Hub in 2013, Ms. Chung was a Principal at Makani o Ka'u Consulting, where she served as Director of Risk Management for a renewable energy risk financing and risk management consulting firm specifically for indigenous peoples.  Preceding her tenure at  Makani o Ka'u Consulting, Ms. Chung was a placement advisor and life science industry Practice Leader for Marsh, USA in it's San Francisco, CA office from 2004 through 2009 and the Manager of the Aon Global Group of Jauch and Huebener in Zurich, Switzerland where she designed and administered clients' global risk management and insurance programs.

Ms. Chung has attained the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) distinctions and certifications as well as penned numerous articles for trade and governmental publications.

Prior to joining Hub, Mr. Perez-Reyes was affiliated with the Barney and Barney, LLC Brokerage in Oakland, CA where he served as a client executive and broker specializing primarily in technology E&O risks.  Mr. Perez-Reyes began his insurance consulting career at Marsh, where he placed technology E&O, professional liability and privacy insurance for large and complex clients.  In the intervening years, Mr. Perez-Reyes has developed risk solutions in industries as diverse as healthcare organizations, travel-hospitality, telecom, gambling, pharmaceuticals, financial services and educational institutions the likes of Stanford University and UCSF.
