GTEC Wins $45 Million ID/IQ Contract to Provide Expeditionary Water Packaging Systems to U.S. Marine Corps
MCLEAN, Va., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: GTEC), a provider of mission-critical, technology-based systems, solutions and services for national security agencies and programs of the U.S. government, announced today that the U.S. Marine Corps has chosen to use GTEC's independently developed, mobile water packaging system to meet their expeditionary water needs. The U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command awarded the company a firm-fixed-price, five-year, single award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract with a $45 million ceiling. Initial funding of a $1.2 million order is expected imminently.

Entirely designed and developed by GTEC, the system has been ruggedized and automated to integrate with military trailers, enabling effective operations in the most challenging terrains and environments.
Work on the contract will be performed at the GTEC integration facility in Frederick, Md.
