The company's registration – unique in the security industry – covers not only service, but service design and the selection process of its employees for all Guardsmark offices, making it the most comprehensive registration program in the industry. This ISO Standard registration is the most widely recognized worldwide industry standard of quality management excellence.

At the most recent audit by one of the leading international registrars of quality management systems, it was determined that Guardsmark continues to meet the rigorous ISO 9001:2008 Standard. Specially praised were the company's progressive employment and screening process, learning and development program, and exceptional code of ethics renewal – areas for which Guardsmark has long been known to pioneer. Guardsmark became the first security firm ISO 9001:2008 registered for all its offices and for service, design and selection in July 2009, and was re-registered in July 2012.
