TORONTO, May 19, 2015 /CNW/ - Guyana Goldfields Inc. (TSX:GUY) (the "Company" or "GGI") is pleased to announce that all matters presented for approval at GGI's annual and special meeting of shareholders held on May 15, 2015, have been duly authorized and approved, as follows:

election of all management nominees to the board of directors of the Company; |

appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as auditors of the Company for the ensuing year and authorization of the directors to fix their remuneration; |

confirming the existing stock option plan of the Company; and |

confirming the Company's shareholder rights plan. |
