Gabi Miles is the product manager for Hach Water Information Management Solution (WIMS) at Hach Company, based in Loveland, Colo. Miles has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado, a Master of Business Administration degree from Colorado State University and has more than 20 years of software and marketing experience.

Today's reality at water and wastewater treatment facilities is that budgets are shrinking, regulations are increasing and the workforce is aging. Lean Operations can help water and wastewater utilities meet the need to streamline their processes and improve operational efficiencies.

Miles will demonstrate that using data management technologies, like Hach WIMS, enables Lean Operations and allows utilities to work with state managers and EPA officials to better monitor and manage every state's water resources and streamline their reporting of content. Miles also will provide real world examples of water and wastewater utilities in the U.S. implementing the Hach WIMS software and will share the results they've achieved using this technology and approach.
