Haggar Announces New Acquisition
Addition Deepens Dress and Tailored Categories
DALLAS, Feb. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Haggar Clothing Co., maker of Haggar® branded casual and dress apparel for men, announces the acquisition of certain assets of Neema Clothing, Ltd. The acquisition extends the company's strong position in the men's dress and tailored category.
Paul Buxbaum, Haggar's CEO, said, "We purchased the men's private label dress and clothing business Neema has developed with several department store retailers in the country." Buxbaum added, "This purchase enables Haggar to leverage its experience as a leading developer and supplier of men's dress clothing."
In addition, as part of the transaction, Haggar entered into a license agreement with Global Licensing Company, LLC, for the Bert Pulitzer trademark to manufacture, market and sell men's suits, sport coats, blazers, topcoats, tuxedos, vests and tailored slacks bearing the Bert Pulitzer mark.
