Haier Strengthens Its Position as the #1 Global Major Appliances Brand - Euromonitor

Haier extends its global brand market share to 6.1%, topping the Euromonitor Global Major Appliances 2010 Brands rankings for the second consecutive year

QINGDAO, China, Dec. 13, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The Haier Group today announced that Euromonitor International, the world's leading independent provider of business intelligence on industries, countries and consumers has again ranked Haier as the number one brand of Major Appliances in the world with 6.1% retail volume market share in 2010. Haier extends its global brand market share by almost 20% from 2009.  

Haier also tops Euromonitor International's ranking in three product categories, expanding its market leadership in each of them year on year:

-- Refrigeration Appliances:

- Haier is the number one manufacturer of Refrigeration Appliances in the world with 12.6% retail volume share, up 0.2 point from 2009.

- Haier is number one brand of Refrigeration Appliances in the world with 10.8% retail volume share in 2010, up 0.4 point from 2009.  

-- Home Laundry Appliances;

- Haier is the number one brand of Home Laundry in the world with 9.1% retail volume share in 2010, up 0.7 point from 2009.

-- Electrical Wine Cooler/Chiller:

- Haier is the number one brand and manufacturer of Electrical Wine Cooler/Chiller in the world with 14.8% retail volume share in 2010.
