Hain Celestial Announces Strategic Acquisition

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Feb. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAIN), a leading organic and natural products company with operations in North America, Europe and India providing consumers with A Healthier Way of Life™, today announced that one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase The Yorkshire Provender Limited ("Yorkshire Provender"), which is subject to formal clearance from the Competition and Markets Authority in the United Kingdom.  Yorkshire Provender, founded in 2007, is based in North Yorkshire, England, and produces premium branded soup and its products are sold in leading retailers, on-the-go food outlets and food service providers in the United Kingdom.

In calendar year 2016 Yorkshire Provender had approximately £6 million in net sales and is expected to be accretive to Hain Celestial's earnings in fiscal year 2018.
