During the testing and design phase of the brushes, we learned that if you heat hairfree® brushes with a blow dryer they take on the properties of flat/curling irons. The reason for this is that the cleaning plates on the brushes are coated with ceramic material, the same type of ceramic material used in flat irons and curling irons. 

Flat irons and curling irons have ceramic material coating metal filaments, which allows for the transfer of heat from the inside out. Flat irons and curling irons are typically powered with electricity.
