Unveiling on November 22, 2013, the double-height space is an experiential destination that encourages visitors to engage with Hammacher Schlemmer's eclectic mix of gifts, gadgets, electronics, and problem-solving items.

Hammacher Schlemmer's founding dates back to 1848, when William Tollner opened a small hardware business on the Bowery. In 1859, Alfred Hammacher became part owner, and in 1883 William Schlemmer was made partner and the business was given its current name, Hammacher Schlemmer and Company.
