Handmade iPad 2 Cases Inspired by Artists

The company managed to bring together two orthogonal industries, traditional book binding and vintage surfboard manufacturing, to come up with very interesting and uniquely differentiated set of protection accessories for the iPad 2 and other mobile devices.

XHiBT's products are produced by its 100 year old San Francisco bindery, operated by third generation artisans, and its Santa Cruz based vintage wood surfboard manufacturing team.  Each handcrafted case has a classic journal look and feel with a striking likeness to those used by the famous artists and writers we have come to love and admire. Each case includes a vintage hand bound exterior, which can be custom monogrammed.  The cases come in a wide selection of custom interior colors, and contain a solid bamboo frame that securely encases and protects the iPad.
