NEW YORK, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The AnEx Advantage Training and Associate Program (http://www.anexadvantage.com/) recently conducted a survey of top financial firms to forecast their current and future hiring status and the results show an optimistic future for MBA graduates.
109 investment banking, private equity, venture capital, asset management and other financial firms took part in the 2010 Summer Finance Employee Outlook Survey conducted by the AnEx Advantage Training and Associate Program, an independent entity interested in the outlook for future MBA students in the financial field. Overwhelmingly, 74% of the firms polled asserted that hiring in the finance sector would improve within the next 12 months. This bodes well for future MBA graduates and for the financial field in general.
The survey speaks well of the industries in need of graduates and MBA students who are spending their downtime wisely. Firms are taking advantage of the selectivity that the current market affords them and are putting extra emphasis on finding candidates that are taking proactive steps to prepare them for their next financial position. Financial training firms such as the AnEx Advantage program, headquartered in New York City, have seen an uptick in interest from employers who are utilizing every resource to identify the best candidates in the market.
"Waiting for the economy to improve is not the best option for recent MBA graduates or current students," states Paul Pignataro, Founder of AnEx Advantage. "The student that takes advantage of this downtime to do a program like ours, or sharpen some other skills that they can use down the road is going to lead them to the door of the job they seek."
With 23% of respondents sharing that their firms will be hiring in the next 6 months, it is clear that students who continue to hone their financial skills and have real world experience will have an edge in the hiring line.
"We conducted the independent survey to understand how employers have perceived the last six months and, more importantly, the outlook for hiring over the next year. Graduates are anxious to understand the real picture and we want to provide answers that make sense. Of course there will always be the doomsayers, but we are heartened by the realistic view that the survey provided."
The survey results are hosted at the AnEx Advantage Training and Associate Program (http://www.anexadvantage.com/) and available to current students, recent graduates, the media, and the public.
