Harlan Laboratories and BioXpert Announce Partnership to Expand Contract Breeding Services in Northern Europe

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Harlan Laboratories, a leading contract research organization and research models and services company, and BioXpert, a company specializing in laboratory animal science and services, today announced a partnership to expand Harlan Laboratories' Contract Breeding Services into Benelux, Northern Europe and Northern Germany. 

Through this partnership, Harlan Laboratories is able to provide the same services as from its UK and Southern Europe sites which include rederivation, cryopreservation, revitalization, colony management, contract breeding, health monitoring and quarantine services. As part of this strategic alliance, BioXpert will be able to support contract breeding and colony management in IVC, barrier, and isolator environments at its site in the Netherlands.

Founded by industry veterans, Tineke Coenen and Dr. Ir. Jan-Bas Prins, Ph.D., BioXpert's capabilities in in-vivo research provide the ideal alliance to expand Harlan Laboratories' contract breeding services. Together, the co-founders bring deep expertise in the areas of auto-immune models, oncology models, genetically modified models, surgically altered models, behavior studies and contract research.
