Hartz Mountain Industries Selects RMT for New Jersey Solar Project

MADISON, Wis., April 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hartz Solar Hamilton, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hartz Mountain Industries, Inc., has selected RMT, Inc. (RMT), to design and construct its Hamilton Solar Project. The facility, nominally rated at 7.5 MWac, is located in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. RMT will begin construction in June, and will have the facility commissioned in November.

RMT is responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the foundations and racking systems, the photovoltaic (PV) modules, the DC and AC collector systems, the SCADA system, and testing and commissioning. The project will involve installation of over 30,000 Suntech  280-Watt crystalline PV modules.

"We selected Suntech modules for the Hamilton Solar Project because they deliver dependable output, and Suntech has the manufacturing capacity to deliver the large number of panels required for the project," explained Kutcher.

RMT is currently constructing eight utility-scale solar PV projects in New Jersey totaling approximately 49 MWac.
