Hayneedle.com To Auction Full House Of Furnishings From "Street Of Dreams" Model Home To Benefit Susan G. Komen Foundation

OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hayneedle.com, the online destination to find everything home, today announced that the Company will launch the Hayneedle.com Showcase & Auction on September 15 in association with its participation in the 2012 Street of Dreams to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Komen Nebraska Race for the Cure.  The Showcase & Auction, which will accept bids from September 15 through October 14 at www.hayneedle.com/streetofdreams, will be among many ways "Team Hayneedle" will generate donations for Komen Nebraska as Breast Cancer Awareness Month approaches in October.

Hayneedle has partnered with Malibu Homes, one of Omaha's premier custom builders, to showcase home furnishings and accessories for every space — inside and out — of the 7,159 square foot, five- bedroom, six-bath luxury model home that will be open for tours at Street of Dreams.  Over 100 items featured in the dream home will be available via charity auction at www.hayneedle.com/streetofdreams from September 15 - October 14.  The online auction is open to Greater Omaha area residents. Winning bidders will be solely responsible for picking up, loading and transporting winning items from the model home no later than 7:00pm CT on October 16.  All proceeds will go to Komen Nebraska.  The online auction is being powered by Omaha-based Proxibid (www.proxibid.com), the world's largest, most trusted online marketplace for buying and selling specialized assets, and a technology leader in online auctions.

Seventy-five percent of all donations raised will remain in Nebraska to support those in need while fighting breast cancer.  The remaining 25% of donated funds supports national research and the fight to find a cure.
