HCR ManorCare Campaign Takes Home Award

TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HCR ManorCare and Hart Associates were awarded the Silver Award for Total Advertising Campaign (With Television) for the "Welcome Back" advertising campaign.  The awards are funded by Healthcare Marketing Report, The National Newspaper of Healthcare Marketing.  Only 240 entries in the Twenty-Eighth Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards were awarded a silver award this year.  The over 4,000 entries were judged on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.  

The "Welcome Back" campaign was rolled out by HCR ManorCare skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in January of 2011.  Hart Associates was the marketing firm that produced the campaign.  The simple but effective television, print, outdoor, digital and radio advertisements were well-received.  The campaign uses the "Welcome Back" tagline and the phrase, "It's not just about getting you back on your feet, it's about getting you back to your life," showcasing the commitment of HCR ManorCare's skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers to get patients back home.  

The "Welcome Back" campaign emphasizes why HCR ManorCare is different from typical nursing centers.  Focusing on getting patients back to their lives, HCR ManorCare's commitment to caring for patients has led to over 80 percent of patients returning home within 40 days. As patients' need for post-hospital, short-term care increases, the "Welcome Back" campaign helps create awareness of options for a swift return home.
