HeadCount.org Releases Voter ID Requirements Map for Election

NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- HeadCount.org is guiding those who want to vote in the Presidential Election today with a chart that displays the voter ID laws in each state. They are providing the voter ID requirements on their website, which includes a helpful chart. It displays what form of ID is accepted, if first time voters need ID, if all voters need identification, and if student ID is sufficient.

For students there is also a helpful student voter ID requirements map that gives a color-coded map and key to easily distinguish what your state accepts. HeadCount.org states that, "Student IDs are accepted as ID in most states, but may need to meet other requirements, such as including an expiration date." They suggest referring to the voter ID requirements page in such cases where there may be other requirements.

With the help of Google Maps, they also can help you find your polling place. After inputting your address information, it displays your closest polling place. It also displays the ballot summary of all the options that are on your ballot in your area. There is also a link to your state's voter ID requirements near the bottom.
