Patrick McGrath, PhD, Chief Clinical Officer of NOCD to be honored for his leadership and commitment to clinical innovation
NEW YORK, Oct. 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Enterprise Partners ("HEP") today announced Patrick McGrath, PhD, Chief Clinical Officer of NOCD, as the recipient of its second annual RISE Above Award. The award was established in honor of Steve Filchock, who joined HEP 14 years ago and provides the firm with technical expertise and leadership.
"The RISE Above Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate: Resilience and the ability to bounce back, Integrity in thought and action, Straightforwardness and authentic character, and dedication to Educating and developing others – the four principles that Steve has long represented," said Dave Tamburri, Managing Partner at HEP. "Patrick McGrath exemplifies these qualities through his visionary leadership and lifelong dedication to advancing treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder and his transformative impact on patients, clinicians, and the broader behavioral health community."
Dr. McGrath has devoted more than 25 years to pioneering evidence-based treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related conditions. A recognized leader in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, he has helped make this gold-standard treatment accessible to millions. At NOCD, Dr. McGrath has built one of the nation's largest specialized clinical networks for OCD and related conditions while mentoring hundreds of therapists to deliver compassionate, effective treatment.
Reflecting on the award, Steve Filchock said, "I commend Patrick on an exceptional career that has made a tangible difference for so many and reflects the culture of HEP and the spirit of the RISE Above Award. I am honored to be associated with HEP for the past 14 years and their partnership with NOCD."
Dr. McGrath remarked, "The best part of my career has been to help people live the lives they want to live and not the lives that OCD wants them to live. I am honored to be recognized for doing something that I have a passion for, and I believe very much in – that all people who are suffering from OCD and anxiety deserve access to evidence-based care. I thank HEP and Steve for this recognition and I share it with all of my NOCD colleagues who spend endless hours making sure that people with OCD get the treatment they need so they no longer must suffer."
In recognition of Dr. McGrath's achievements, HEP is contributing to I AM ALS - PUSH FOR PROGRESS, an initiative focused on continued authorization of the Act for ALS signed into law in 2021. The Filchock family will match the contribution.
