VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A new service is set to change the way people interact with their physicians. Available now as an online membership and on the Apple App Store, Health Revive (http://www.healthrevive.com) stores and maintains personal health information and lets patients communicate directly with their doctors.
Gone are the days of waiting for a doctor's appointment just to ask a question or give an update on your health status. With Health Revive, patients and physicians can message each other directly, securely and confidentially from a computer or mobile device. If the physician needs more information, he or she can access the patient's medical records and health history. This is all possible by way of the connection request service that makes health revive the world's first medical network.
"We developed Health Revive with the goal of putting people in charge of their own health information, and the opportunity for doctors to view their patients up-to-date medical data in real time," said Health Revive founder Faisal Khan. "Health Revive is a secure way to store and update health records, fitness data, emergency medical information, and so much more.
With Health Revive, users can track and graph weight, fitness and calories, cholesterol, BMI, blood pressure, glucose, thyroid, immunizations, and medications. The service stores the member's emergency profile, which includes a list of current medications, medical conditions, emergency contacts, past surgeries, glucose level, and blood type. Members can also enter their complete allergy history. Health Revive will securely store insurance information, medical imagery like X-rays, lab reports, EKGs and files such as living wills.
Ultimately, using Health Revive, patients can organize and track their complete medical history and keep it at their fingertips. Members can even choose to print an emergency medical card from their Health Revive account. Each card includes a unique access code. In an emergency situation, medical personnel can enter the code at HealthRevive.com and instantly access the patient's full medical file.
Physicians who use Health Revive can connect with their patients via the Health Revive service or app to view graphs of various vital health related issues such as glucose levels, cholesterol, weight and diet, blood pressure also, schedule appointments or answer questions. After an appointment, the physician can upload the patient's chart notes to Health Revive, where they become part of the patient's Health Revive record profile.
Health Revive even has a community component. Members can connect with one another in over 200 forums by symptoms, side effects, surgery or disease. Health and medical articles contributed by physicians and medical journalists provide even more resources as members navigate newly diagnosed diseases or conditions.
"Health Revive is the most comprehensive online means for managing one's health and maintaining personal health records," Khan stated. "When the need arises, whether in an emergency situation or at the doctor's reception desk, the information--and one's doctor--are easily accessible."
